Terms and Conditions


All prices published for Public courses include value added tax (VAT). VAT is payable regardless of the Delegate’s country of origin; the point of supply for VAT purpose is the location of the course. The published prices do not include any lunch, travel, accommodation or living expenses which the delegates may incur in attending, unless specifically stated.

All prices published for Corporate courses do not include value added tax (VAT). VAT is payable regardless of the Delegate’s country of origin; the point of supply for VAT purpose is the location of the course. If the location is outside the UK, please contact us for clarity on whether VAT or a similar tax scheme is charged.


The course fees, including VAT, are payable no later than the course start date. Customers wishing to make payments made from non UK accounts or credit cards must be responsible for all bank charges in relation to the overseas transaction; this includes charges levied by the customer’s bank and that levied by the bank of Lean Sigma Academy Ltd, in accepting this specific transaction.

If a payment is not received by the start date of the training, you may not be able to commence the course. To avoid disappointment, please ensure that you make payment prior to the course commencing.

Payments can be made by major credit and debit cards including American Express.

Where a Purchase Order is issued must clearly state the purchase order number, course dates, full Invoice amount and contact details for invoicing. When more than one course is booked on the same booking form, full payment for all courses, including VAT, is required before the commencement of the first course.

Where the relevant invoice has not been paid by course start date then we have the right to refuse the delegate(s) entry to the course. In these circumstances, the invoice in question will remain payable in full.

In all instances of non-payment, Lean Sigma Academy will retain 100% of the deposit. The Terms of this agreement override over any other terms of business or purchase conditions put forward by the Customer.

Once a payment has been made, may it be a deposit or full payment, over the phone or on the website by the following methods: Debit Card, Credit Card, American Express, the delegate is adhering to the Lean Sigma Academy’s terms and conditions irrespective if a booking form has been signed. In addition, if payment has also been received via bank transfer the delegate (or company) is adhering to the Lean Sigma Academy terms and conditions irrespective if a booking form has been signed. 

Cancellations Policy

We hope you have no need to cancel a course, however, if you provide notice of cancellation to Lean Sigma Academy at least 14 working days before the start date of the course, the fees including VAT will be fully refunded – no questions asked.

If you provide notice to cancel less than 14 days in advance, the full course fees are still payable.

Re-scheduling courses

There is no fee to re-schedule courses, however requests to change course dates without providing 14 days’ notice are at the discretion of Lean Sigma Academy Ltd.

Refunds - Classroom courses

Refunds will be processed using the same payment method that the original payment was made. Refunds will be made in GBP (£) for the exact amount originally received less any fees or charges that Lean Sigma Academy incurred from banking institutions. Lean Sigma Academy Ltd will not be liable for any fluctuation in exchange rates or bank charges for overseas refund transactions.

Refunds - Online courses

We are happy to refund on a 'fair use' basis. If you signed up for a paid subscription, but the training wasn't really what you expected, we're happy to refund the entire amount, on the condition that you have only completed a few modules. If you have made good use of the site, we will not refund any monies but will be happy to cancel your account from the beginning of the next payment period.

Changes to Courses

Lean Sigma Academy Ltd reserves the right to change any part of a published course; if this is caused by circumstances beyond our control. Lean Sigma Academy Ltd reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course and will advise the customer as soon as the change is known. We will use all reasonable efforts to avoid changes of this nature.  For any courses which are rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances such as trainer sickness every endeavour will be made to provide a replacement trainer or to reschedule the course and we will offer delegates as many options as possible to complete their training programme .

Lean Sigma Academy Ltd reserves the right to change the location (within a 20 mile radius) and will advise the customer has soon as the change is known. Lean Sigma Academy Ltd will not be liable for out of pocket expenses due to cancellation or any other changes to venue or programme.

Non Attendance

Non-attendance of any course for any reason whatsoever is deemed to be a cancellation with no notice and payment is due in full.

Booking on behalf of the Delegate

In all cases the customer undertakes to bring these terms and conditions to the attention of delegates. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the delegates receive all the relevant information including the joining instructions and that they meet the eligibility and published prerequisite requirements.


All intellectual property rights for all course materials shall remain the property of Lean Sigma Academy Ltd. The Customer agrees not to reproduce, sell, hire, lend or copy the course materials or use them except for the purpose of personal reference. Lean Sigma Academy Ltd warrants that it will not knowingly include any copyright material in its course materials without license or consent.

Warranty & Liability

Lean Sigma Academy Ltd liability for loss and damage shall be limited to a claim for damages. The maximum aggregate liability will be the charges for the course out of which the loss or damage has arisen. Lean Sigma Academy Ltd will not accept liability for death or personal injury. Lean Sigma Academy Ltd will not be liable for indirect, special or consequential loss (including loss of anticipated profit or data), howsoever arising, even if it has been advised of such potential loss.

Non Solicitation

For 12 months following either the invoice date or the date of course delivery, of any contract carried out for the Customer by Lean Sigma Academy Ltd or an associate company of Lean Sigma Academy Ltd, the Customer, will not directly nor indirectly employ or solicit for employment any employee of Lean Sigma Academy Ltd. If the Customer breaches this clause, Lean Sigma Academy Ltd shall be entitled to recover from the Customer a fee of 50% of the gross annual salary of the employee of Lean Sigma Academy Ltd solicited for employment.


No deviation from these terms and conditions will be allowed without the express written permission of a Director of Lean Sigma Academy Ltd. No communication either verbal or printed on our websites will override these Terms and Conditions. If in any case any of these conditions shall be held to be invalid or shall not apply, the contract and the other conditions shall remain in force and effect.

Privacy Policy

We collect information in several different ways, and we use that information to fulfil your enquiries and analyse the effectiveness of our web site. If you visit leansigmaacademy.net we may collect information about you a) directly, or b) indirectly.

Direct Information:

Direct information is any and all information that you have intentionally provided to Lean Consulting, such as your name, title, phone number, email address, or mailing address. Information of this nature is only ever collected if you choose to give it to us. Some examples of when we might collect information directly:

If you communicate with us through the “Contact Us” link on our web site, we may ask you for information such as your name, email address and telephone number so we can respond to your enquiry

If you apply for a role with Lean Sigma Academy you may voluntarily submit your CV containing personal information

Indirect Information:

Indirect information is data we collect in order to help us to understand our web site visitors better, and to learn which sections of our site are most and least popular.
